Middle or Senior ML Engineer

Accendum LLC is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Natural Language Processing (NLP) Engineer with expertise in sentiment and emotion extraction, phrase matching, large language models (LLMs), and generative AI prompt engineering. The ideal candidate should be proficient in Python, MySQL, TensorFlow/PyTorch, and embedding vectorization techniques, with a preference for familiarity with Flask and AWS. Experience with BERT or similar models is highly desirable. At least two years of experience are required.

Key Responsibilities

  • NLP Development: Design, develop, and implement NLP algorithms and models for sentiment analysis, emotion extraction, phrase matching, and language model pre-training.
  • Model Integration: Integrate and optimize NLP models, particularly BERT or similar, within existing systems and applications.
  • Data Processing: Work with large datasets, perform data cleaning, and develop strategies for effective data preprocessing to enhance model performance.
  • Vectorization Techniques: Implement advanced embedding vectorization techniques to work with textual data.
  • Prompt Engineering: Contribute to the engineering of prompts for Generative AI, ensuring effective generation and response mechanisms.
  • Research and Innovation: Stay abreast of the latest advancements in NLP, machine learning, and AI technologies. Implement innovative solutions to enhance NLP capabilities.
  • Cloud Computing: Leverage cloud services for scalable and efficient deployment of NLP models.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Proven experience in NLP projects, with a focus on sentiment analysis, emotion extraction, and language modeling. Familiarity with BERT or similar models is a plus.
  • Programming Skills: Proficient in Python, with experience in TensorFlow or PyTorch.
  • Cloud Services: Experience with cloud services.
  • Vectorization: Solid understanding of embedding vectorization techniques for NLP applications.
  • Communication: Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Problem-Solving: Analytical mindset with a problem-solving orientation to address complex NLP challenges.

Familiarity with Flask is preferred.

Compensation starts at $54,000 and is negotiable based on applicant experience.
